I was looking for a fabricator to make a one off swinging arm for my Triumph Rocket III, many builders were put off by the size and scale of the project, but not Gav.

After initially browsing the website and other builds I sent an email to Gav in April 2009  I was informed that I would have to wait 5 months for my fabrication slot. ( I thought someone this busy must be good). When the call came I took the bike and spare bits to Stapleford where Gav getting over the initall shock of the bike size started to listen to what I wanted. The best part about Gav is he listens first, too many builders tell you what you need, I really liked his approach. We agreed on a rough design, settled on what needed to be done, including building a bigger Jig and I left. During the build I was emailed with progress photo's we had a couple of discussions before I agreed on the final design. I must say the levels of contact, emails and photo's really are examples of how to do business well. The final design is amazing, the quality of workmanship is the best I have ever seen it really set's off the back end of the bike with the streetfighter look I wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend Gav and GIA engineering to anyone looking for something special..

My thanks to Gav and Anne-Marie, I will be in contact for the frame build next

PJC Motorcycles - G-TEK Busa GIA005 http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/gia005-customer-feedback.html http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/gia005-customer-feedback.html PJC Motorcycles - G-TEK Busa GIA005

I was amazed at the level of detail and the quality of the welding and engineering that went into the GIA frame and swingarm, everything fitted exactly as it should and the workmanship was outstanding....

The frame on its own was a thing of beauty and i could not believe how light everything was (something the GSXR 1300 was much in need of), the frame, swingarm, tank and rear suspension with rear wheel attached weighed less than the standard busa frame. It has been a huge effort to make sure the finished bike looked as polished as Gavins work, but worth the effort. Thank you so much for all your hard work, and i hope to have another project for you soon!

Biketec Single Sided Swingarm for K2 http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/singlesider-biketec-customer.html http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/singlesider-biketec-customer.html Biketec - Single Sided Swingarm for K2

I found Gavin of GIA Engineering via the internet and only had read his portfolio of where he had previously worked to convince me that he was the man to build me my single sider for my Suzuki Gsxr 1000 k2 which is my advertisment for my motorcycle business in Leicester./p>

Well start to finish it took 6 weeks to complete and I was kept upto date with pictures of the developement all along. I have other projects for this bike and GIA will certainly get the work off that as well. Top work could not have asked for better, Gavins work has done what I wanted and already drawn the attention from others which obviously advertises my business and Gavins as well.

Big Thank you From Mickey at Biketec in Leicester.

GIA Engineering and its owner Gav are one of the best companies I have dealt with. I commissioned Gav to repair and modify my Spondon frame and also to manufacture a new swinging arm to my requirements.

Gav told me that he would complete the job in four weeks and to my surprise it was ready bang on time.

He kept me updated with the progress he was making and always contacted me to check specifications and if they could be improved upon. When I received my bike back to say I was impressed would be an understatement as the high quality of his craftsmanship was obvious. I have worked in the motor industry for twenty six years and can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you choose to use GIA Engineering"

Thanks again! Alan Thompson

After deciding it was time in my life to build my dream bike, a big tube framed streetfighter, I did my homework and approached various companies, comparing prices, turnaround and overall quality, Gavin and GIA engineering came up on top in every tick box, hence they was commissioned to carry out the work.

One thing i didn't expect was the amount of friendly and very professional advice and contact, by phone and email with regular photos of the work.

Then comes the call we all dream of, " your frame is ready for collection" upon seeing the frame kit in the flesh the first thing that hit me is the shear engineering skill involved, which without doubt has been carried out by a perfectionist, the subframe gavin has fabricated for me is better engineered than the original yamaha one. This quality of work and skill is very little found in this country and is a credit to Gavin and GIA engineering.

All in all i wish GIA engineering a long and healthy liftime and thank them for carrying out my dream, i will be very proud to ride the bike and the best thing of all, I will never park my bike next to another the same! Thanks to all

regards Reg Best

I contacted Gavin to ask about some frame welding I required doing on 4 Honda ST1300s that I had purchased. I have to say, that Gavin could not have been more helpful to my initial enquiry.

We arranged a day, when I would transport the bikes to him and he did the lot in one day, which was excellent, as I live nearly 100 miles away. I found his workmanship and approach to be superb and was more than happy, both with the quality of the work and the charges made. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Gavin's workmanship and furthermore, what a nice bloke. Thanks very much Gavin, I wish you and your business well.

On reflection...and speaking through personal experiences...to find a fabricator of the skill level needed to change dreams into reality is difficult enough...then to add an ability to give the customer "exactly" what he wants from his chassis is a trick that is hard to find anywhere else in the United Kingdom to my knowledge...

Peter - Modifications to BSA Frame http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/modifications-customer.html http://www.giaengineering.co.uk/Feedback/modifications-customer.html Peter - Modifications to BSA Frame

I was very happy with the work that Gavin did for me - although it was a strait-forward repair to my BSA, and I could have had it done cheaper more locally, Gavin gave me the confidence that the job would be done properly.

The down-side is that, having seen his work on custom frames, I want one of those! I am now saving all of my pennies, pulling in favours and writing to Father Christmas, to see if I can commission Gavin to build me one.

Many thanks to Gavin and all!

I have worked in the bike industry and have been a dedicated biker for over 10 years. I have seen and had chance to ride a number of performance motorcycles and experienced lots of unusual and exotic engineering.

I I met Gavin when I visited a local engineering firm and to be honest dropped on lucky as I have been more than happy with his work. Now he has set up his own business it means I can talk to the man who does the job and not the one who takes the order. I have recommended him to all of my likeminded mates and no one’s slapped me yet!

The bike that encompass the frame that Gavin built has now been featured in two magazine over here and Europe and the number one thing that comes out of people mouth is the quality of the workmanship. The welds are perfect and I have not seen this level of skill on production or ANY custom machinery. If you think that you are going to get the same workmanship from the bloke down the road you will be very wrong and out of pocket! All my engineering work now or for any future builds will go to Gavin.

And finally, I have to ask for a cup of tea! But frankly Gav is a biker and a long term petrol head so unless you want an alloy fishing rod it will be all smiles!"
